Whether a student is eligible to receive education benefits is based on approval or denial of the Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA) after the student submits an application to the DVA. The Arizona Department of Veterans’ Services has approved Cochise College to offer veteran education benefits to qualifying veterans and dependents. Cochise College only awards JST credits based on ACE recommendation, you may not earn as many credits as you would have if you had opted into the MOS credentialing program.

You may still receive some college credit by having your JST evaluated, however they will not count towards the required 16 credit hour residency requirement. If you did not participate in the MOS credentialing program at the time of your training, Cochise College is unable to award the college credits.Degrees are awarded three times a year in May, August and December. Your local or home Army Education Center can assist you in setting up your ArmyIgnitED account and further explain the military tuition assistance program. You will also need to register for your courses directly with Cochise College through your student portal. Active Duty Army can obtain tuition assistance by registering for classes through the ArmyIgnitED website.This system also provides grades and unofficial academic transcripts. A placement test may be required for some classes. If your institution offers e-transcripts, please have them send them to Access your student record online via your CC Account to verify that your college transcripts have been received and evaluated. These transcripts must be sent from the awarding institution and not from the student. Military students may choose to work on any degree program Cochise College offers, either online or in traditional classrooms. Students from services other than the Army frequently participate in programs on Fort Huachuca and may be eligible to work toward different degrees. Our MOS Credentialing Office on Fort Huachuca handles MOS students’ admission, registration and processing fees. MOS Credentialing Program students, not enrolled in other Cochise College courses, use their CC Accountdirectly to verify information and access unofficial transcripts. The Cochise College Fort Huachuca Education Centershould be able to assist you. Military students have all the benefits of a regular Cochise College student. Due to online security restrictions, students using computers on military installations may not be able to access their student records, financial aid and register & pay pages within M圜ochise.
